What specific technologies did you learn about this semester that you think will be valuable to use in your future classroom?
I feel that the most valuable technology we used this semester was Microsoft Excel
Why will this technology be valuable?
It will be valuable because with my classes of physical education and health I will be able to create graphs to show the students special statistics related to important health issues. Additionally, I will be able to keep better records of their grades if my school does not have an efficient grading system.

The main benefit of spreadsheets is that they offer teachers to be well organized and keep their numbers in order. This way teachers do not lose students' information as easily, makes everyone happier.
What are the greatest benefits for students when they use spreadsheets in the classroom?
Spreadsheets are very beneficial to students because it gives them experience to practice on them if they may use them later in life for their future career. Many jobs these days require spreadsheet use in this modern-day-technological-world.Can you envision yourself using spreadsheets in your classroom? Why or why not? When I am a teacher I will use spreadsheets in my classroom to keep my students' grades in order and organized. I may also use spreadsheets to track the progress of my students.

Blog Reflection #3
After using visual thinking software, describe the 21st century skills you think were most valuable to you in the learning process?
It allows you to reach certain students who can't comprehend the readings and allows them to learn in different ways because everyone learns differently. It also provides a variety of learning experiences for the students, and makes education fun!

Chapter 3 Case Study
1. How is WISE an example of a constructivist learning tool?
WISE is an example of a constructivist learning tool because it is a problem based learning problem. The students are posed with a question and need to use the resources available along with their own information to solve the problem. Additionally, this problem is tied into the real world.
3. What features of group work are effective here?
One great feature of WISE is that its projects are varied. Students participating in them learn a scientific process in a number of settings, as well as a number of strategies for working in groups.

Chapter 2: Case Study #1
. How does each of these scenarios relate to the issue of learning environments?
Each of these scenarios relates to the issues of learning environments because we all need to make decisions regarding the technology that we use. In some situations, we will be forced to share computers because there is not enough funding for everyone to have their own. In other factors, there will be ample computers and we will be faced with the problem of how to make sure our children are properly using the internet, which just more recently has become a huge problem. Another problem we run into is when to show students the technology that we have. Placing them in throughout power points I believe is the most effective way to teach. If you just have them playing throughout the class period, they will not pay attention to them.
2. Which cases present questions that could be addressed with the Learner-Centered Psychological Principles?
I feel that all four of the classroom examples could be resolved with the help of the Learner-Centered Psychological Principles. Each classroom has a different problem associated with it that could be solved with these principles.

How does using multimedia allow you as a teacher to appeal to a wide diversity of learners?
I think that multimedia allows you to appeal to a wide diversity of learners because everyone learns in different styles and it is important for everyone to enjoy the ways in which they are learning. All students have different tastes and will each learn differently. Some are visual learners, while some have other strengths. Using multimedia allows all students to learn in different ways that work for them.

Wiki Vs. Blog
The difference between a wiki versus a blog is that a blog is a place where only one person can write their ideas, and everyone else that views the blog is free to comment. However, on a wiki, everyone who is a part of the wiki is free to edit as well as comment on the wiki. Everyone can change information that is made available on the Wiki, where on a blog, only one person can make changes. In a wiki there may be a question asked by a teacher and then each person can go in and keep editing, and adding to what other people have already said.

What Do I Know and Think About Integrating Technology in the Classroom?
I don't know a whole lot about integrating technology in the classroom. I have seen technology improve tremendously over the years of my education. From the first computers in the classrooms that were basic Mac's and Windows, to Smartboards by the time I graduated high school, I have seen all extents of technology. I am familiar with most things, but I would not trust myself necessarily to use some of these newer technologies. I think that integrating technology in the classroom is essential for our children to stay with technology in the 21st century, a time period where change is happening faster than ever. I love technology and appreciate all the new technilogical advances that have been made in the recent past. I look forward to being able to use technology in my classroom in the future to enhance my students learning experiences.
